​     Whether you come with your family, a group of friends, or on your own, Friends & Family Camp offers a unique opportunity to step away from everyday life and enjoy four days of adventure, great food, meaningful conversations, and time together.

 

     Our experienced staff plan the activities, prepare every meal, supervise children's programs, and take care of the details so you can simply relax and enjoy camp. Fill your day with adventure or spend it reading in a hammock. At Friends & Family Camp, there's no right way to camp.

​Your Weekend at a Glance

Arrival: 3:00 p.m. on the first day

Departure: 3:00 p.m. on the final day

Each day offers a variety of optional activities for every age and interest. Participate in as much—or as little—as you'd like.

Activities for Everyone

Every day you'll have dozens of opportunities to create your own perfect camp experience.

 

Choose from activities such as:

  • Swimming

  • Guided hikes

  • Crafts

  • Archery

  • Camp games

  • Nature activities

  • Relaxing in camp with a good book

  • Napping beneath the redwoods

  • Visiting with new friends

 

One of the highlights of the weekend is our guided hike to Shire and Drippy Hollow, two of our favorite swimming holes. Cool off in crystal-clear water, relax beside the river, or take the leap from the famous jumping rocks.

 

Certified lifeguards are on duty during all scheduled swimming activities.

Time Together...and Time to Yourself

One of the things families love most about Friends & Family Camp is the flexibility.

 

Spend the entire weekend together, or take advantage of our supervised children's activities while you enjoy a hike, participate in the adult low-ropes course, afternoon nap, or simply some quiet time.

 

Our counselors create fun, age-appropriate activities so children are having just as much fun as the adults.

Delicious Homemade Meals

One of the best parts of Friends & Family Camp? You don't have to cook!

 

Every meal is prepared from scratch and served by our kitchen staff family-style in our outdoor dining area.

 

Each day includes:

  • Breakfast

  • Lunch

  • Afternoon snow cones

  • Afternoon snacks

  • Pre-dinner appetizers

  • Dinner

  • Dessert after both lunch and dinner

  • Evening popcorn or s'mores around the campfire

 

Beer and wine are complimentary for guests 21 and older during appetizer and dinner service.

 

Have dietary needs? Let us know during registration. We happily accommodate vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and many other dietary requests whenever possible. If we believe we cannot safely meet your needs, we'll contact you before camp.

Your Campsite

Each family or group receives its own rustic campsite nestled beneath the redwoods.

 

Every campsite includes:

  • Sleeping area

  • Luggage rack

  • Ground tarp

 

Sleep beneath the stars or bring your own tent. Don't have one? Tent rentals are available during registration.

Comfortable Camp Amenities

While Friends & Family Camp embraces the outdoors, you'll still enjoy many comforts, including:

  • Hot showers

  • Private single-stall bathrooms

  • Drinking water

  • Friendly camp staff available throughout the day

  • On-site camp medic for the duration of camp

Morning Prayer & Evening Campfire

All are invited to join us for our daily Morning Prayer - a simple, welcoming opportunity for reflection, fellowship, and gratitude.

 

As a non-denominational Christian camp, Redwood Adventure Camp welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds.

 

Two evenings conclude around the campfire with songs, stories, laughter, and time together as a camp community.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to participate in every activity?

    • No! Participate as much or as little as you'd like.

  • Can I bring my own tent?

    • Absolutely. You're also welcome to sleep under the stars or rent a tent from us.

  • What ages are welcome?

    • Everyone is welcome, from newborns to grandparents! Friends & Family Camp is designed for all ages (0–99+), and we love seeing multiple generations making memories together.

    • Please note that, due to our remote location in the redwood forest, our camp is not ADA accessible. The terrain is natural and uneven, with dirt trails, hills, and rustic campsites. If you have questions about whether our camp will be a good fit for your family's mobility needs, we'd be happy to talk with you before you register.

  • Is the camp physically demanding?

    • Activities during Friends and Family Camp are optional, allowing everyone to enjoy camp at their own pace.

  • Will there be cell service?

    • Nope! Our little corner of the forest is blissfully off the grid. Leave the emails, notifications, and endless scrolling behind and enjoy four days of unplugged adventure, real conversations, and making memories with the people around you. 

  • Can I bring my dog?

    • As much as we love our four-legged friends, please leave them at home. Our camp is home to plenty of wildlife, and we want to keep both your pup and our forest friends safe. They'll be excited to hear all about your adventures when you get home! . 

  • Is alcohol allowed?

    • Complimentary beer and wine are provided for adults 21+ during appetizer and dinner time only.
